Junior Rules and Regulations
1. When a Junior member is addressing a Senior member, they will
address the officer by his/her title, and when addressing other
members, will address them by Mr., Mrs., or Miss.
2. All Junior officers are to be called by their titles and
firefighters are to be called by their proper names.
3. Junior members must conduct themselves in a proper manner at all
times.
4. Back talk will NOT be tolerated!
5. No profanity will be used by any Junior member in or around the
firehouse at any time.
6. No smoking or use of drugs or alcohol will be allowed in or around
the firehouse or any activities by any Junior member.
7. Junior members are to be neat and clean in appearance at all times.
8. Hair must be kept in a neat style.
9. Juniors present in the station during any structured activity
must participate in the activity or leave.
10. Any Junior member, if requested by a Senior member to leave due to
misconduct, misbehavior or breaking rules, must do so unless
participating in a Junior function.
11. Any fire company business discussed at meetings will not be taken
outside of the department.
12. To be a member in good standing, Juniors must attend at least two
meetings per month. You must be a member in good standing in order
to participate in parades and other outside activities.
13. Members will remain silent until called upon by the officer
conducting the meeting.
14. No member may leave the meeting without permission.
15. Non-members will not be allowed at Junior meetings unless it is
approved by a Director. (Exception - Parents: We encourage you to
bring your parents!)
16. Uniform dress hats are to be worn at parades but are NOT to be worn
at school except during Fire Prevention Week when uniforms may be worn.
17. Rules to be observed on parades:
a. Dress is to be uniform hats, black trousers, green short sleeve
shirt. (Winter - Black turtleneck shirt under green shirt)
b. Neatness is to be observed at all times.
c. Anyone borrowing a uniform hat is responsible for its care.
d. No horseplay and no profanity.
e. Stay with the group.
18. Violation if the Rules and Regulations are subject to disciplinary
action by the Junior Directors.
19. Any Junior brought up on charges will appear before the Junior
Directors and the Chief officers of the Juniors.
20. Charges and grievances will be presented to the Senior Board of
Directors as the Junior Directors deem necessary.
