How do I start?
To become a volunteer with the Williamsport Volunteer Fire & EMS Inc. there are some things that you need to do.  To get started, you can either download our application, or stop by the fire station and pick one up.  Once your application is completed, return it along with a $5 application fee to the station attention Membership Committee.

What happens to my application after I turn it in?
Your application will be review by the membership committee.  The Membership Committee will contact your references for a background check.  Also, you will be contacted for an interview with Membership Committee.  Your application, along with all background and interview information, will be presented to the membership.  You are encouraged to attend that monthly meeting.  

What happens after I am accepted as a member?
Once accepted, you will begin a process to gain riding status on all the apparatus, be fitted for protective gear, and register for training classes.  All the classes are free of charge to you - and are required to become a firefighter.
